A decade of charity will bring lasting positive impact. In 2024, the traditional “99 Charity Day” officially upgraded to the “Jiujiu Charity Festival”, themed “A Decade of Doing Good, Steadfast for the Long Run”.
During the festival, Tanwan Game partnered with Tencent Charity and the China Green Foundation to launch the “Protect Panda Habitats: Step to Plant Bamboo” initiative. Through the integration of Internet + Charity + Fitness, the campaign invited employees and the wider public to donate their steps, collectively safeguarding panda habitats and planting bamboo to restore these vital ecological areas.
“Protect Panda Habitats: Step to Plant Bamboo” Initiative Promotes Green Ecological Development
In recent years, Tanwan Game has actively implemented corporate social responsibility, harnessing the passion and energy of every employee to carry out multiple philanthropic activities. Through its “Tanwan Public Welfare”public welfare brand, the company has advanced the “Lush Mountains and Lucid Waters” Initiative, focusing on carbon neutrality and environmental protection, with activities spanning multiple regions in China. Earlier, Tanwan Game’s game “Beast Lord: The New Land” also conducted a “Game + Collaboration + Charity” green initiative, donating 20 acres of bamboo on behalf of players to help restore panda habitats.
To amplify this effort and encourage broader participation, during the 2024 Jiujiu Charity Festival, Tanwan Game, Tencent Charity, and the China Green Foundation jointly launched “Protect Panda Habitats: Step to Plant Bamboo”. Employees were invited to scan a QR code to join the step-donation campaign, where walking 6,666 steps each day counts as one step-donation. Sustained participation during the event period directly contributes to the restoration of giant panda habitats. Tanwan Game will convert donated steps into support for the China Green Foundation’s “Panda Guardians” program, planting bamboo forests and safeguarding the ecological home of giant pandas.
Mobilizing Social Forces to Add Strength to Charity
The China Green Foundation, established in 1985, is one of China’s earliest public foundations approved by the Central Government and funded by the national budget. Its core mission is to mobilize society to participate in forestry, ecological protection, and environmental construction.
The “Panda Guardians” project, launched in 2017, aims to restore vegetation and plant bamboo forests in the natural habitats of giant pandas across Shaanxi, Sichuan, and Gansu, addressing the fragmentation of panda habitats. Over the years, the project has attracted nearly 20 million followers on social media, with public engagement on panda conservation topics exceeding 6.2 billion views.

As a long-term partner of the China Green Foundation, Tanwan Game has contributed to environmental protection through fitness-themed monthly campaigns, donating 1,641 trees to the Foundation’s “Million Forests Program”, with over 300 participants joining these charitable activities.
“Tanwan Public Welfare”public welfare brand, the charitable brand of ZX Inc. (Tanwan Game), has consistently upheld the philosophy of “Caring for Our Players with a Loving Heart”, leveraging Internet technology to bridge players and charitable initiatives, cultivating a habit of giving, and promoting a social ecosystem where everyone can participate in philanthropy.
The theme of the Jiujiu Charity Festival, “A Decade of Doing Good, Steadfast for the Long Run”, aligns closely with the mission of“Tanwan Public Welfare”. Through this “Internet + Charity + Fitness” model, the company aims to invite more people to protect panda habitats and raise awareness of ecological preservation. Looking ahead, ZX Inc. (Tanwan Game) will continue to actively fulfill its corporate social responsibility as an Internet enterprise, leveraging its public welfare brand to generate more impact, contribute to national ecological civilization, protect green mountains and clear waters, and work together to build a better homeland.
