On the afternoon of July 3, the 2024 Game Responsibility Forum was held in Beijing, guided by the China Audio-Video and Digital Publishing Association and hosted by the People’s Government of Xicheng District, Beijing. At the forum, the Public Opinion Data Center of People’s Daily Online, People’s Lingjing Research Institute, and Lingjing · Game Lab jointly released the 2023–2024 Corporate Social Responsibility Report of Game Companies. With its achievements in fulfilling corporate social responsibility across economic, social, and other dimensions, Tanwan Game was recognized as a Game Company with Outstanding Overall Performance.
The forum, themed “Driving New Industry Development through Culture and Technology,” brought together representatives from government departments, industry organizations, research institutions, and game companies. Through keynote speeches, panel discussions, and other formats, participants explored how the gaming industry can empower cultural heritage and technological innovation, while discussing corporate social responsibility and sustainable development within the sector.
In recent years, the economic and social value of the gaming industry has received increasing recognition from society. With its unique interactivity and technological integration capabilities, the industry has become an important driving force for the development of new types of productivity. This insight has encouraged the company to continuously expand the boundaries of its industry ecosystem, leveraging gaming to empower the growth of the real economy. As the gaming industry’s approach to corporate social responsibility (CSR) becomes increasingly diversified and systematic, ZX Inc. (Tanwan Game) has been actively broadening the scope of its own social responsibility initiatives. In April of this year, the company upgraded its CSR report to an ESG report, enhancing the disclosure of information on its social responsibility practices. The report systematically presents the company’s measures across three dimensions—fulfilling environmental commitments, assuming social responsibilities, and strengthening internal governance—marking a new step forward in sustainable development.
In terms of corporate governance and standardized operations, ZX Inc. upholds the principles of integrity and compliant business practices. Regarding environmental protection, the company is committed to minimizing its environmental impact and promoting green, low-carbon operations. In fulfilling its social responsibilities, it actively participates in public welfare initiatives, pays attention to vulnerable groups, and contributes to society through donations, volunteer services, and other forms of engagement, thereby supporting social harmony and stability. Currently, ZX Inc. continues to expand its philanthropic footprint through its “Tanwan Public Welfare” public welfare brand, implementing multiple initiatives including Hope·Future, Wings of Life, Digital Countryside, and Green Mountains and Clear Waters, consistently delivering social value. In June this year, the company supported the “Pomegranate Seeds Program”, providing care and encouragement to schools in the Kashgar region of Xinjiang through charitable donations. To further promote the “Lush Mountains and Lucid Waters” initiative,“Tanwan Public Welfare” public welfare brand collaborated with the game “Beast Lord: The New Land” to launch an offline “Gathering of Beasts” check-in campaign. This activity encouraged players across the country to locate and check in at designated animal landmarks, raising awareness for wildlife protection and jointly preserving ecological diversity. In April, the company donated two electric vehicles and a batch of ZAZA GRAY rice noodles—valued at a total of RMB 400,000—to 12 schools, including the Dafang County Football Association, Dafang County No. 7 Middle School, and Yuanbao Primary School in Dujiang Town, Dafang County, further demonstrating its commitment to social welfare and community development.
Throughout 2023, ZX Inc. (Tanwan Game) contributed a total of RMB 12.9 million in donations, allocating RMB 1.7 million to charitable and public welfare activities, donating RMB 5.5 million through charity auctions, and providing RMB 1.3 million in relief for the flood disaster in Zhuozhou. More than 70 employees from the group participated in 40 public welfare events. In the latest report, it was selected across both comprehensive and specific dimensions—including economic and social categories—signifying industry and authoritative recognition of the company’s philosophy: “Caring for our players with a loving heart.” Moving forward, ZX Inc. (Tanwan Game) will continue to uphold its corporate development philosophy, diversify its social responsibility practices, leverage technology to support the preservation of outstanding culture, and contribute to the high-quality development of the industry.
